1. Explain why you selected each of the TWO videos you choose from the selection listed above.

I chose "Albrecht Dürer: Image of a Master" and "Velaquez" because I am somewhat familiar with the people in the other videos and wanted to find something new.

2. For each video list/discuss the key concepts you learned.
Albrecht Dürer: Image of a Master - I think the key concepts of the video is that Albrecht Dürer was one of the greatest artist in Germany and his works inspired by his mentors served as a path for Italian Renaissance ideas to be introduced in Germany.

Velaquez - The key concepts of the video is how Velazquez portrays his subjects in his paintings. His views on disabilities and what he thinks are important aspects of a person's portrait allowed him to make very beautiful and realistic paintings. His paintings allows you to see the person in the painting for who they are by emphasizing the looks on their face and their expressions .

2. How do the videos relate to the readings in the text?
The videos give more details about individual artists of the Renaissance period described in the book. They give an insight on artists' views and ideas and the importance of their works.

3. What is your opinion of the films? How do they add depth to understanding of the readings and art concepts?
The films were informative and a good watch. It lets us see the artwork from another point of view and show their importance in the movement.

Module 5 Logo

1. Discuss what you thought about creating your logo. Creating a logo proved to be a challenge because you have to make it appealing but at the same time it needs to be simple. 2. Describe the process: creative thinking skills and ideas you used in the logo creation. I tried to use my initials as the main part of the logo. I tried to make them like they blend into each other but then I realized that it doesn't have any meaning. I study computer information systems so I thought I could incorporate some elements from that in my logo. The bottom 2 sketches are my ideas for that, one is more electronic looking and the other is supposed to be a command line but I don't think it looks good as a logo. 3. 1. Use the vocabulary you have learned in class to describe this artwork or performance in detail. "Guernica" is a monochrome painting done in black, white, and shades of grey. Picasso makes use of sharp lines and shapes to depict the subjects of the painting. By presenting the subjects of the painting through deformed shapes the artist reinforces the idea of pain and suffering present in the artwork. 2. What processes were used to create this work?
