10 Step Value Scale 6 Step Color Wheel   1. Discuss what you thought about creating the Value Scale and Color Wheel. I think the 10 step value scale is difficult to make because it's easy to mess up since everything is grey. 2. Which media did you enjoy working with the best and why? I enjoyed working with paint because it was easier to apply and mixing the right amount of color to get the secondary colors interesting. 3. What was the most important discovery in the creation of these studies? I think the most important discovery is that red, green, and blue are not the primary colors, and instead are secondary colors, with the primary colors being cyan, magenta, and yellow. 4. What is the most important information you learned from watching the videos for this project? What is your opinion of the videos? I always thought that the primary colors are red, green, and blue because of how widely these 3 colors are used in today's world to make colors. ...

Module 3

1.   Describe Color and it's effects on emotions. Use the appropriate vocabulary of color in your posting. Colors have different effects on our psychology. We associate colors with different emotions and the more we see certain colors the more likely it is to have the emotions related to those color manifest. Red is a powerful color and it invokes strong emotions like anxiety, or confidence depending on the context. Blue is a soothing color and has the opposite effect red has. Blue makes us calm, and stimulates clear thought. 2.What is a theoretical aspect of color that most intrigues/fascinates you? Why? I was surprised when they showed the Taekwondo video to judges. They altered the video to swap the colors but the content of the video was exactly the same, yet most of the judges gave more points to whoever was wearing red. Module 2

Video and Article review 1. I think the key concept of the first video " Aesthetics: Philosophy of the Arts" is that beauty and aesthetics have different meaning for each of us, and it is hard to define something as beautiful because everyone has their own interpretation of it, just like the big philosophers of the history did. The second video by CARTA talks about how brain recognizes life in art. It can associate lines and colors, and it likes symmetry. The brain is wired to try to assimilate shapes and colors to something it already knows. The CNN article has a similar idea. We don't see lines on objects to indicate that the object is there, we just see the object, but when we see lines on paper we try to assimilate those lines to something we already know. We can tell that those lines make an object, or objects that we already know about. 1. How was the process of creating the  GMail  account and setting up the  Blog ? The process of creating the GMail account and setting up the Blog was simple and straight forward. 2. What do you expect to learn in this course? I expect to learn the impact of art and its role in today's society. 3. How do you feel about taking an  online  course? I feel a bit uncomfortable taking an online class because I might forget about it and miss assignments. 4.
