The Lowdown on Lowbrow: West Coast Pop Ar - The video talks about the evolution of Lowbrow art and its relation to abstract expressionism. It talks about the inspiration and influences that shaped the Lowbrow art.


BBC Culture show: Tate Modern is 10! (Part 5) - The video talks about how and exhibit is created and what makes an exhibit good. It talks about how art pieces should connect with each other in order to create the right atmosphere.


An Acquiring Mind: Philippe de Montebello and The Metropolitan Museum of Art - The video talks about the skills of an art curator and the knowledge and interpretation skills required to identify good art and relay its message to other viewers.

2. Do the videos relate to the creation of your Art Exhibition project? If yes, explain how. If no, explain why not.
The videos relate to the project because they give insight on what an art curator does and how to review art.

3. What is your opinion of the films? Do they add depth to understanding of the art concepts you practiced while creating your curation project?
They add depth to understanding the concepts by giving real examples of other people creating or explaining the idea behind an exhibit.

1. Discuss what you thought about creating your logo. Creating a logo proved to be a challenge because you have to make it appealing but at the same time it needs to be simple. 2. Describe the process: creative thinking skills and ideas you used in the logo creation. I tried to use my initials as the main part of the logo. I tried to make them like they blend into each other but then I realized that it doesn't have any meaning. I study computer information systems so I thought I could incorporate some elements from that in my logo. The bottom 2 sketches are my ideas for that, one is more electronic looking and the other is supposed to be a command line but I don't think it looks good as a logo. 3. 1. Use the vocabulary you have learned in class to describe this artwork or performance in detail. "Guernica" is a monochrome painting done in black, white, and shades of grey. Picasso makes use of sharp lines and shapes to depict the subjects of the painting. By presenting the subjects of the painting through deformed shapes the artist reinforces the idea of pain and suffering present in the artwork. 2. What processes were used to create this work? What social influences might the artist be responding to and why? Picasso created this artwork as a political statement in response to the Nazi's devastating casual bombing practice on the Basque town of Guernica during Spanish Civil War.
