Module 5 Logo

1. Discuss what you thought about creating your logo.
Creating a logo proved to be a challenge because you have to make it appealing but at the same time it needs to be simple.
2. Describe the process: creative thinking skills and ideas you used in the logo creation.
I tried to use my initials as the main part of the logo. I tried to make them like they blend into each other but then I realized that it doesn't have any meaning. I study computer information systems so I thought I could incorporate some elements from that in my logo. The bottom 2 sketches are my ideas for that, one is more electronic looking and the other is supposed to be a command line but I don't think it looks good as a logo.
3. What was the most important discovery you made in the creation of your logo?
That a logo must be simple and memorable, a cluttered logo can work if the composition is good but it is difficult to do that as it is not supposed to be a painting.
4. What is the most important information you learned from watching the videos, powerpoint, and reading material  for this project? What is your opinion of the videos?
How simple shapes can navigate the eye of the person looking at the logo. Even if the logo has many elements, with the right composition you can focus the viewer's eye on the main part. Also it is important to represent the core of your subject in the logo else it is not a very good logo. I think the video and the powerpoint talk about those things and other important aspects of making logos. Brainstorming ideas is necessary in coming up with a logo and drawing inspiration from other activities will help make a good logo.
Below are my sketches and the logo I decided to go with for myself. I chose red and blue because red is a color that draws attention and blue is often associated with electronics and computers.
